If you can haul your Canterbury plains rhubarb country arse up to KJ, its nearly down hill all the way.

    You should be fine.

p.s. I would be happy to hold your hand, if you promise no skipping.

LOL , Ohhh the Kaweka J sounds a bit steep for me Thar. There are not really any real hills in the south island.

I can promise no skipping but spooning at night could be a different story

Has the rut come early for you guys...you might need to get a room
Which is worse, ignorance or apathy...I don't know and don't care.

    hey shearer

got to the carpark and was pretty windy which wasnt a good start and when i got up the top it was blowing hardout and cold. Took cover for a while before i went right to the top. Didnt stay up there long but saw one small hind poke its head out of the scrub but didnt really want to show itself. But overall was way to wind and cold up there. On the way in saw a hind on the road and on the way out just after the carpark to hinds ran out in front of the car (4-10 metres away) and crossed over the road.

Thats great. Seeing a few deer can't be too bad especially in that wind. Funny how many you see on the road on the way in and out. Try driving past them and then stalking back. Often they don't go far into the bush.
