Hey team,
Anyone here used an electronic deer call?
What are peoples thoughts on using them?
Look forward reading peoples experiences or thoughts on them.
Cheers
Terry

i just modified one to run a small horn speaker, the inbuilt speakers are horrid sounding
Guess it depends on which species of deer... Going to b an interesting thread
Never owned/used one, never seen much point. But each to their own. Interested in seeing what others thoughts are
Not a fan of electronic have had them but just brought a DJ25 sika caller its a reed type caller sounds pretty good.
Hi, have a Graf caller and it works rather well on Reds. Called in a few stags now with it, quite loud and had stags reply from quite a distance and start to head in using it. Saves the voice and low cost its pay of itself thats for sure. I recommend one of you not great at roaring. Certainly works. Both those stags on my profile pic(heads) were roared in with the graf caller
Got an older sika call, works well, called in a stag which my nephew shot at 20 yards, he didn't know we were there so they do work. Need to be careful you don't get stalked by another hunter so wear some bright colours.
Mate downloaded "Ruger I Hunt" App to his cell and WiFi's it to his UE Boom, 15-20m remote and works a treat!
Firelite is on, do that if you want electronic.
I think the sika calls are great for those of us who can't get the high notes, or don't have a pre-pubescent cousin or son to do the calling
I got a red stag all wound up a few years ago cutting corrugated iron with a disc grinder on the farm. Maybe not the best to cart around in the bush but made the job a lot more enjoyable.

Large Milo (or similar) tin, drill a hole in the middle of the bottom of the tin, poke a shoelace through, knot one end and dunk the other in some kerosene. Squeeze shoelace and pull, vibration from your fingers echo's up through the tin, have heard one and they are bloody impressive if you get the technique right. So expensive as well.... Another pro is you get to eat a whole tin of Milo
yup my Dad and I used an aj caller this red roar. Probably would have worked better if the stags had been more vocal, but using the fawn call sparingly had a couple stop for us and come in to investigate. The roars on them are probably too aggressive in my opinion. We stuffed up a good stag by using the roar function in his territory...heard a sound like a pig grunting but deduced it was a stag pushing hinds away.
