Family friendly block options in Thar country

What started as a simple plan for a short heli ride to go on a hunt for a couple of days after Thar on public land up the rangitata for my son and Aussie based and his kid next Xmas has got complicated with another sibling and their two kids also keen to get in on the fun. Youngest kid is 8 so snooping round for recommendations for public or private blocks in areas with options Deer, Thar and small game (wallaby/hares etc) that can keep the younger ones happy. Ideally needs to be fairly accessible by 2wd or not too far of a walk in and not too pricey. Not after trophies, just some meat animals and adventures to get the next generation hooked

Any leads appreciated - fire through a PM.

Pic from a trip up Rangitata, this wee fella was very curious - had gammy looking eyes and seemed to think doggo was mum. Big brave dog was not sure what to do when it can trotting out of the scrub after her and hid behind me.
