    +1, also check out the Nikon Monarchs, they seem to be a scope that few have used but those that do swear by them, I am one of them! For little more than the cost of a VX1 you get VX3 quality!

    Sounds like you've taken in some of the better advice given here Dylan.
    A T3 in either of those calibers with a Leupy on top will serve you very well!

    I have done loads of research about this and I ended up with a .270. I wanted the flatest shooting and biggest knockdown possible witjout going to 300mag or bigger. Most guns these days are more accurate than I am so I got a cheap gun and a quality scope. Goodluck with your rifle.

    yeah the 150 grain does literally knockdown , with big entry wounds

    I'm a relatively recent recruit to hunting/target shooting but i did have a chance to try a 7mmRM. It was very loud, ample recoil but extremely flat shooting out to 400y. Fun to shoot
