Also let Taupo police know that you found the dog and where just in case someone has been reported missing.

Arguing with an Engineer is like Wrestling a Pig in Mud.
After awhile you realise the Pig loves it.
Yip he's done all of the above and he placed a report with Taupo police just incase
unusual for this breed to be to far from it's owner
"ars longa, vita brevis"
knowing that breed. probably walked off from camp??
Though fingers crossed someone isn't injured in the bush
Strange alright
They would follow you into a fire if they could like bloody velcro
Any luck on returning it or has your mate scored a nice hunting dog?
My Vizsla sticks to me like a tick and if he was more than 50 meters away from me he would be lonely and want to close the gap.
There must be a owner somewhere looking for him, if it was me I would take a week off work looking for him.
Maybe the person that lost him isn't the "real" owner, seems odd that someone isn't looking for him. Not like other breeds where there is a replacement readily available.
Sounds like one of two options.. watching with hopeful anticipation of outcome....
Has either has a mishap befall its owner - has the dog been taken back to the area found to see if he/she will locate?
or has this dog possibly been dumped - sad to say, but road end - other hunters cover the area. Gotta ask this pretty difficult question.
Pretty crap if either is that option as that road got dropped with green rain recently and it could have eaten a pellet or rodent from this drop quite easily.
As I say hopeful of a positive outcome..
It might just like hunting there and has no owner.
I seen on facebook last night a fella that lost a vizla?
