    Its most likely, deer. They will guts most things when they are hungry or in good numbers and theres competition. They eat Toi Toi and flax as well.

    Yeah im no expert but a pig would not have the jaw/teeth structure to use its front teeth to extract the soft white flesh in the way the sign suggests. Also no know goats at this spot.

    Would think the Ponga fronds chewed like that would be possum. Often see them in the top of them round here, would make it easy for them to get a feed if the fronds are on the ground .
