    Goats

Hi I'm new to this site, so not to sure if allowed to ask this sorta thing. But long story short, just wondering if anyone has a place/land or knows of a place that is relatively easy to shoot a few goats. Still relatively new to shooting (only shot a couple of deer and wallabies before) but had my firearms licence since last year. Me and maybe a couple of mates (aged 17 - 18) just need a place to get some experience, and could give a box of beers to anyone willing to let us shoot a couple goats. Preferably within a few hours drive of Auckland.
    Thanks

No harm in asking here. Best way to go is door knocking once you've done a bit of research.

They are tasty targets. But deserve to be treated with respect ie make sure you can kill cleanly.

Leave the beer and your leaner mates at home, you will have more luck.

Hi, we are all in the same boat, so looking for hunting spots I`m looking at " D O C Discover the out doors", it`s a map of all the nz open hunting areas. Just have to use the mark 1 eye all and feet on the ground and it`s great fun to camp out and cook a steak on the open fire, go for it, Homebrew.357.

If you remove the DOC 1080 dropped land, the rest could be covered with a postage stamp.

Dont know about goats but the old L5 accounted for a few horses out the back of waiouru from time to time.
