Thread: Goats, Who knows where I can get them in the south island?

I was chatting to a mate who got access to a back block of regrowth up north, He shot a few goats to clear them out up there.
Where can I get access to the same sort of opportunity around Canterbury/ South Island?
I would like to fill up my freezer and I can tell the difference between a goat and livestock if anyone reading has a bit of land with plenty of goats.
Otherwise, where on government land can I take goats? I know you can see them here and there in national parks sometimes but is there any good places to target them?
