    Cam. Go into main menu and look at the Position format settings. You can change to lat long in there if that is what flicks your switch. Gonna use it out on the water ?

    If you are using it in conjuction with paper topo map, then that is the right setting. It will give you a full grid ref that directly relates to the paper version.
    You would only normally usee lat long if boating or flying I believe. Much much easier to find where you are using grid system

    Im tryin to figure out how to transfer marks from my old etrex with no maps that is in lat long. Also would be easyer to transfer points of interest from Google earth.

    Use this converter mate;
    Online Conversions | Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) - Toit

    And in my humble opinion, using WAMs is much easier than google earth for this purpose.

    Just thought Cam, you could just set your 62 onto lat long, transfer your points, then re set position format back to NZTM. It will automatically convert them for you.

    That's the problem i can't get it onto lat long.
    Took me a few years to work out the etrex so could be a long time before i figure out all the stuff on this one!
