    Guidance requested re Chamois

    Afternoon Team

Will have a few blocks of time (4-5 days) over summer holidays that I'd love to put to use hunting. I'm yet to target Chamois, but very keen to this summer. I have a very rough idea of area's that I could go to. Can't afford a chopper flight, but big walks and climbs are something I quite enjoy, so will plan on putting in the miles when needed.

Would appreciate any guidance, direction, tips, hints, photo's of your hot sister; from those of you with more experience that you feel like sharing. Not asking for your Grid 123 123 spot x.

    My thanks in advance.

Go into the Lewis pass and walk to the top of a hill.

Lewis pass tops be worth a look from where you are.
Sorry. Don't have a hot sister.
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.

Above and behind Tennyson in the St James there are some too and not too far from home for you. My sister is 60 next Feb so way too old for you and in the Northern hemisphere anyway, will my younger brother do as a substitute? He also lives far, far away though.
    Happy Jack.

Im following this as i am still wondering what to do with my month that im without wife and kids over the end of the year period. Never shot a cham, maybe i should price up a trip to the mainland and see if the budget allows.
If you can't kill it with bullets, dont f*ck with it.

Look in the shittiest gut where its overhanging and you'll find them hanging upside down like bats.

They like those steep little gullies with plenty of cover. Spend some time glassing and save the feet.

I would add that they will often "find you" but stay quiet and still and usually you'll get a shot.

100% agree Tentman. Although they've got keen eyesight and will bolt if they work out what you are they're also curious animals. One minute you're alone on the hill thinking there's nothing around for miles and next minute they'll pop out of nowhere and stand there looking at you.
