Thanks all. I won't be going back any time soon either as it's an extra hour of driving past the regular spots in the south-east corner when coming up from Wgtn and the corolla can't make it past the first sign so had to park at the gate and walk. Lots of rubbish dumped around the best vantage points at the head of that gully. I bagged a bit of it up to carry out. A lot of muesli bars and oranges getting eaten when waiting for the non-existent deer to show themselves on the faces. The trip was to have a look over the tops at Howletts, - the gully was a detour on the way out. Nice country, and we saw several back along Daphne ridge, but the big basin across from Howletts that was our main area of interest (mainly because it's free of leatherwood) had been cleared by a previous party having a bit of a bomb up.
