Heli operator recommendations into Lake Sumner RHA

    Hi Guys,

I have not used an operator to fly in here before. Looking to fly in in 4 weeks time. Who do you recommend as a good reliable operator to get you in a and out?

    Cheers

Either Simon Lawn from Ahaura Helicopters or there are two operators in Hamner Springs.

@Moutere, Cheers mate I have gave them a call. Seem like a good knowledgeable company to deal with. I think they even have a farm you can park your vehicle at rather than leaving it on the side of the road which I would not like to do in the lewis.

@tetawa great question, I think I would be hesitant to have a seat in a robinson.

If there's only one or two of you just get Mike Green to fly you in 44 you won't get cheaper and he knows the area well. Amuri are good operators but do everything with a squirrel and you pay for it.
I would suggest ahaura also but their recent social media post has left a bad taste in a fair few mouths...

Aumri are good buggers. They also have 520 so that will a bit cheaper than a squirrel.

@Dama dama thanks for that, yes that quoted me on the squirrel which I thought was quite excessive for how far we are looking to go. I might phone back and ask for a quote for the 520. The 520 should carry 4 of us and gear.

Amuri were rather expensive on our last trip we feel. Make sure you get the pricing in email rather than over the phone.

Hi @matto1234 cheers for that good point. Did they end up charging you more than what they quoted over the phone?
