Weird, I cannot open this link. I have tried 2 browsers and get error 404 link not found. The web address in the posted link is: https://www.nzoutdoor.co.nz/howto.html
I can get to the nzoutdoors site but not the howto.html sub page. Any suggestions???

I have downloaded the pdf's in post #55 I did all those years ago in case the wayback machine decides it doesn't want to keep it
The more experience you get with Sika the more the info will make sense and add value to your skill set

I’m going into the Kawekas this week. Anyone heard anything yet?
Does anyone start doing any calling this early? E.g. mew etc
The youngest sika stags are making the odd weird noise clearing their throats, as the hormones flow they travel a bit looking around in between hind groups
You can see them in the weirdest places at the moment
Big boys are freshening up scrapes on ridges and other territory boundary’s

I'm not a fan of Martin Askes books .I know the guy and know some of his article not up to scratch. Re the blaze orange for 1 . Taking a photo with flash on to make the great stand out .is wrong . 4 guys I associated with believes in blaze orange .well they did but not around any more . 1 guy never had his gear a week before he lost his life .had wife and 2 kids . But I guess the clothing sold on a belief it would save lives
Heard the first Sika Hee Haw of the season today

Sika are Hee Hawing on northern birch and Ferny ridge in the Kawekas right now
More animals at the northern end and they’re plenty noisy
Most animals I have heard on these two ridges for a few years
