I got my FAL in May. Just 1 billy so far... taken weekend before last. Last weekend saw a mob of 4 billies. I was kinder surprised how come there are still this sized billies left in public land which is quit heavily hunted. It was just a observing trip so didnt take the shot.

This weekend planned for deer hunting, hopeful to strike my first deer as in my about past 10 hunting trips I have learnt quite a lot about the area, feeding times, and have marked areas where fresh signs were showing..

    Come weekend...come fast..

    1 goat, 1 tahr, 1 deer, 1 pheasant , 1 duck, 1 rat, (yes I shot a rat) 1 wallaby, 1 quail, 3 magpies, 20 hare and 50+ Rabbits.

Good variety there when it's all listed actually.

Nice to see what others are getting too, thanks for putting thread up!

Lots and lots of mallards.. now i see why there is a reduced number in Mallards for the next duck shooting season.. and hence we might see a reduction in the bag limit or the number of hunting days reduced.. lol.. @Nathan no offence.. just kiding mate..

Shot my two trophy animals and other than that just a few for meat.

What I'm proud of is one red spiker, one sambar, one fallow doe and one fallow buck - the animals I guided my mates who just started deer hunting onto.

So far this year I have shot 13 deer (Red 6, Fallow 5, Sambar 1, Sika 1) 1 Pig. Have seen over 80 public land animals this year and including private farm animals must be up into the 200's. Shot numerous goats and stretched my Rem mag and shot a goat at 560m. May get in 1 or 2 more hunts by the year end

Shit....here we go 1 Fallow (on a guided hunt, so couldnt miss) 1 missed shot on a wild DOC red spiker, 3 spooked Sika, but more like they spooked me, rifle wasnt loaded on the first (dickhead, lesson learnt)

loads of other feathered, flying stuff.....but dont count those, i trying (real hard) to become a HUNTER, not a person who hunts.........
