Gillie suits used consistently.....?
Any deer farmer / hunter use then on a consistent basis. @video hunter. I doubt it. Wearing them gets old real freken quick.

I you want to get an odd look from a deer, try waving or talking to them from a tree stand at 30m.

They don't seem to be able to figure you are a threat in a tree and you can just see their brain going tik, tik.

Just one of the silly things this old fella has done.

When I was 16 and a member of the Wellington NZDA my Father and I went on a club hunt with who I now consider to be the biggest fucking idiot I've ever hunted with "Chris Dummer" and ironic name if I've ever heard one. Night prior we had discussed where everyone would be hunting and as I was the youngest I got the first pick- we caught him hunting in the area where I had picked the next morning and his excuse was that there wasn't anything where he decided to go, as is that's a shit excuse but on top of that it was still too early for him to have even tried his area..... it was obvious he just decided he was going to ignore the plan from the get go.

My Dad wrote an email to the president of the NZDA saying he wasn't safe and it was asking for trouble, we left the NZDA and about a year later he ended up shooting a guy in the head who was wearing a blaze orange beanie- one of the reasons I refuse to wear blaze orange or hunt with idiots.....you can't fix stupid.

One thing is certainly true about camo, you're a lot safer from an idiot with a gun if they can't see you.

I will continue to wear some camo- why - I need every small advantage I can get yuk yuk

I wear it, weather it makes any difference or not youll have to ask the animals. Mines just whatever I come across second hand, not into latest fashons etc. Flecktarn seems to blend well in a lot of the areas I go into and a ridgeline soft raincoat that leans towards the browns seems to blend well as well from looking at pics the wife takes when we are out

I have 2x" ghillie" suitswhich Ive really only used for goose shooting on feed paddocks .sitting down in front of a hedge or in a dryditch oftern provides some degree of success .tried it in the maimai -often more hassle than its worth .no mates gundogs did not try to cock a leg on my arm!again as ive said previously its a personal choice .me probably cause of my 13yr TF military career in the infantrygave me a fairly good grounding in the art.

Wear what you want. I personally feel like a bit of a tool camo head to toe but it is usually whatever I grab first or what's clean

i feel more of a tool when I forget my mag or bolt

In town follow the 1 half rule. Top or bottom camo, just not both.
In the bush. It's OK but avoid wearing the same camo pattern Top and bottom. Uncool.

never ceases to crack me up the youngsters around Naki wear it like a uniform - ya can tell they are country - camo and red bands good on them - then go to Wairoa and its red - at least one item - worn somewhere even just a head band and thats sad

Thats called being Bi-confused... one half wants to be seen the other does not.

Saw a guy at the cafe the other day; high viz orange shirt and camo pants. Make your mind up whether you want to be seen or not ...
