I buy the best I can afford within reason, I cant personally see the difference in ridgeline or gamegear bush tees compared to Swazi but I do think the Swazi shorts are better than the kiwi stockmans ones from the warehouse, my personal opinion. Somethings you can buy the cheapest and it will be fit for purpose others I find are worthwhile doing your homework and making an informed purchase.

I assume that Swazi is still manufactured in NZ ? one good reason to support them instead of the mass produced Chinese shit.

    I am 100% a gear junkie

I like to buy things once and that normally means buying the good normal more expensive gear.

I work far to much for the gear i have but thats half my problem.
Because whenever i get a chance I sit around and browse hunting all the time
i am forever exposed to that new good brand or upgrade.

I don't spend stupid amounts of money and try to find the line of good value
I also have huge mortgage for someone of my age for Manawatu but that's what I work 70+ hours a week for

All one requires, is a decent rifle, shelter, boots that fit, a sharpe knife, a decent backpack, gps, and a good raincoat. I feel there s too much stuff in magazines that people think they must have in order to have a successful hunt. The best thing to have and it is free, is be keen to get out here and do it... Keep it simple.

I'm a girl and I get cold and I winge if it doesn't get fixed, even my own voice annoys me in those circumstances so I splashed out and bought the best sleeping bag I could afford and that set me back $1,100. Guess what though - that was seven years ago and it's still mint and warm as toast and I haven't chased away any hunting mates yet!

Next would probably be my boots, jacket, knife all in that order. All of which I reviewed or was gifted.

Clothing wise I don't spend much. Macpac polypros are my new fav and I have a couple of pairs of running shorts that are the old favourites. I use my running tees for hunting too - blood never seems to stain.

Oh and did I mention that I fit the boys 14 year old size top to toe pacs? Cheap as, mate!

I like to shop around. Thinking I have researched and made a good decision on how I have spent my money is important to me. I on sell very little too so I have accumulated a lot of crap and learnt where it is important to buy the best and where it is not. I use a Chinese takeaway container as a plate but own multiple pairs of expensive boot, most of which I bought for a fraction of their retail price. As @Gibo is discovering, you learn as you go.
some of my regular hunting kit is over 20 years old and other stuff lives in the shed barely used.

    To Kens wife....
I will take that Blaser off his hands for $1000. He will make a handsome profit.
