So all and all my first aid kit is my most expensive with pack falling in behind. Which is what I think is fair considering what they are used for, and what I want out of them.

For clothing that isn't outer shells I hate spending more than $80 on.... And I take ages to replace thermals, so most of the stuff doesn't fit any more (baggy/loose) and has holes in it all haha. I've bought some mint gear for $20 off 1-day before and will search through as many bargains as I can! Boots I definitely didn't want to skip the quality on them at all, I want at least a decade of use out of them - hard use!

His mrs found a receipt for a $60 riding jersey and went off her face that he would spend $60 on a shirt to go get muddy LOL
Thats exactly my case, so I dont tell her fcuk all.
Other than Rifles and scopes it's:
    Leica geovids
    Sat phone
    Wet weather gear
    Boots

Most of my meat gathering is done via aerial taxi (Helisika) and a yearly trip to the NT.

Same with me. I can spend a lot on gear that keeps me dry/warm/comfortable. Likely because I'm getting old, when I was young I "neverminded" being wet or shivering.

I also spend silly amount on optics (or rather: spent. They tend to last).

And so it goes, we buy within our means, and some of us beyond them, all in all it creates the same result... freezer full with luck, muscles sore, sleeping with a satisfied grin on ya mugs.
