    Hunting areas around the Waikato

    I'm just wondering what areas other than the Kaimais are around the Waikato that are reasonable for hunting.
    Just looking for something that has a little better access and a little more open and maybe a little more deer.
    Never hunted the Ureweras- can anyone shed some light on the area.

    Starting to wonder if it needs to be a night away for some nicer hunting.
    Maybe say up to 2 hours away from Hamilton in any direction.

    Have a play with this- find the open hunting area box and tick it, it will show you all the areas you can get online permits for

    Pureora is another place to go for a look @Willie I am thinking about doing a day trip out there on a saturday or sunday if ya want to join me you are welcome to do so all you need to do is get over to my place and we can go from there in my wagon.
