When I use to do a lot of goat shooting in the bush we use to have an ear plug in our left ear. Felt a bit funny but definetly saved the hearing. Deer stalking I don't use ear protection unless I am taking a long range shot and have time to put ear plugs in.
Would those electronic ear muffs good enough for bush stalking?
Nothing is tough about having a 70 lb bow and looking like an uncoordinated praying mantis while trying to draw it back.

They get hot very fast even if you are just sitting around so I'd say they would be pretty uncomfortable for any decent amount of time

I have an un suppressed 308 and shoot 12G. Would it keep noise under safe level?

I got mine for about $250
I use the foam buds over the rubber as they give best noise reduction
I wear them even when using a suppressed rifle comfortable as

The electronic side should be fine but there will be possibly 10-15% of people with oval/tortuous ear canals or a small/deformed concha (bowl) that these will not fit properly. It's a more critical issue than in-ear headphones which definitely don't fit all people.

The foam plug that go with it should cover most I think
They expand form 6mm to 12mm these are what I use

I'm not deaf, but ringing ears/ tinnitus is ever present. Active ear defenders AND silencer works well. Silencer alone not so well. Sound is not necessarily below damage threshold even if it is below pain threshold. A silencer only removes -24 to -32 dB typically.
