If this is yours 10 Points for Effort

So out hunting recently in public land I came across this hut. Wow absolute solid effort. Photo does not do justice but it’s built up quite high. The bottom of ladder had been cut so was unable to get for for a look. I’m sure a few of you would have bumped into this before if you have please don’t comment on where is it.if it’s yours and you want me to take down post pm me.

That's pretty bloody impressive and a lot of work for something that could be easily pulled down if the wrong authorities found out.

There's a spot we go too out in the middle of nowhere and around 5 or so k's walk in on the track, walking track that is, we know of a couple of 'structures' and one of them seems well used. Have seen washing on the line more than once.
The other appears to be an old caravan cunningly hidden away but I can't for the life of me figure out how the heck it got there short of a chopper.
Never bothered poking around either of them and they seem to be causing no harm so just leave them to it.
One way of living the off grid (and I mean REALLY of grid) dream I suppose, but the grocery run would be a bitch....

A+ for effort there.... i would say the lower part of the ladder will be stashed somewhere to keep people out..... i have heard of two caravans choppered into the Kaimanawas many years ago in very remote locations.

@Rosco this may happen to be in that same part of the country. The lower part of the ladder was laying on the ground it had been cut by someone that I’m guessing wasn’t happy with the hut being there.

Well that sounds like a shitty thing to do if that is the case.

Even for a couple of ab sailing skilled builders, that build would take some effort.A nice retreat there.
