I walked into that bridge in 1976......Aotuhia hadn't been re-developed back then. Went in from Makahu Rd ( IIRC), not Whanga.

…..well in ‘76 I was born….

Worked on the strathmore saddle 17ish years ago. Got a picture of me holding my now 17 yr old at the bridge to somewhere. Aothuia (Station..?) had not long been bought by the Dawson’s??(had a Hereford stud in the ‘naki somewhere) and there 2 boys (14/15) (uncle looking after them) from memory were developing the place. That’s why I remember it.

Yep that’s it. Steve’s ……… old place. He ran a breeding cow to weaner operation when I was there.
