Thread: importing crossbows

Has anyone tried importing weapons. Specifically I want to import a crossbow. Has anyone tried to do this and how much trouble did they have?

Can't speak to Crossbows, but i did buy a 70 pound compound bow from the U.S. and had no issues at all, was exempt from import taxes aswell for being "sporting goods".
As long as the courier company that ships it internationally doesn't have a policy banning it. the nz post "youshop" one for example will not ship bows.

I brought a compound bow from Australia, worked out half the price and it only took 3 days door to door. No issues at all, no GST as it was just under $400.
