    Jolliebrook

There's a chance I might get away hunting this weekend. Already got leave pass from Mrs and her welfare taken care of (she has bad depression & anxiety). So it's now just escaping work and choosing a place. Had originally thought Poulter valley but its out due to recent on ongoing 1080. Was thinking Jollie brook however found this https://www.nzhuntingandshooting.co....-sumner-46340/ hinting that it's not a productive location. Anywhere else around there suitable for a newbie? Real keen to get my first animal larger than a rabbit and opportunities don't come along often so any suggestions appreciated. Needs to be walkable as no 4wd (gravel roads ok as got an Outback)

Thanks for the replies. Gives me options for future. I'll forget the post about someone riding a motorbike in a national park..........
A walk and gaining altitude on foot no issue. Until recently I did a lot of multisport, rogaines, adventure races. Even did GODZone. Awesome challenge.
Anyway sadly now appears like it'll become another working weekend so no chance to go hunt :-( Doing 60hr week on salary sucks, but it's not often I'm above 42-44hrs so not too bad really. Got to pay the bills.
