I don't Want to start a conversation about being a gun snob, because rifles are working tools for me. They have to be accurate, reliable and robust.

The Brand which I have settled on is Weihrauch, model HW60J. This one is chambered to 22 Hornet. I also have this model in 222 Remington and 22LR. These are precision German engineering and very, very smooth and accurate!

NOTE The HW60J has had a model change to HW66CH (Classic Hunter). They are identical except the HW60J comes with iron sights and is not threaded. The newer model HW66CH has no iron sights and comes factory threaded for a suppressor. That's a DPT.

The stock design is what's called a European Hogback. Very good fitting stock.!

Hugh, how do you find that stock design when it comes to the cheek rest? I thought your natural point of aim with your cheek on the stock would be looking down the bore and not the scope.

Why I love my Weihrauch HW60 in 222 Remington, topped off with a Bushnell Elite 6500 firing Hornady 55gn #2266 in front of 18.5grn ADI AR2207. The combination is laser beam accurate. Spot the dead bunny. 200m ➕️

Here's another dead bunny on the low curvey hillock, just left of the tyres.
