    Just Another Day in the Office Bradley - 23 August 2024

    So my job tonight is to protect the beautiful kahikatea from maurauding possums. 5 so far and if I'm not mistaken the heat image I'm pickup in the thermal is a couple of deer on the far side of these flood waters. Only 22LR tonight so they will have to wait...Name:  20240823_000402.jpg

    There was a large Kahikatea on a farm I used to shoot, always had multiple possums in it, no deer in the background though!

    Finished on 21 rabbits and 14 possum at 2am.
    No deer though!

    The tree for possums in my experience is the Himalayan strawberry. When the fruits ready we could get 30 a night for days in a row sometimes you would shoot them on the ground walking towards the trees. Hand plucking was the hard part

    22LR is fine on deer at close range, have done it myself and a quick clean kill with correct bullett placement.
    When hunting think safety first
