You would need more than a spade and shovel to clean that up it is bulldozer and digger material

You can still walk the track, and many do...the motorbikes are slowly getting further into the slips. The council don't want anyone cutting or shovelling their way through and will prosecute anyone clearing the track...ring that phone number on the sign...the signs do say "road closed", it never fails to amuse me as to how people interpret those two words.

Possibly a liability issue Cam. They don't want anyone dicking around trying to clear it privately and then getting hurt in the process.
10MRT shooters do it 60 times, in two directions and at two speeds.

and that is the problem, prosecuting people for doing their job for them because they "might" get hurt is bullishit.

The days of "side throw" are over, all the material must be benched or carted away...we must all be environmentally friendly nowadays.
Was interesting watching them build the forestry roads...instead of pushing all the top earth off and over the side, they had to dig it out and put it on the roadway and then put masses of rock material on the soggy mess to form the road with the help of a big roller. On one piece they backed up and tipped load after load as if it was a stockpile and then got the grader and roller up on top and hammered it down to road level.
Which is worse, ignorance or apathy...I don't know and don't care.

sounds like a recipe for slumping.

In the case of clearing a slip they would only be putting it where mother nature intended it to go!
