Was just up in Greymouth for rugby. Seen a huge trophy 4 or 6 pointer cable tied to the spare wheel on the back of someones old 4wd bomb. Pretty sad.

Most of the scrubbers Ive shot we're in the hay stack and there's no way I would have paraded them round town inside or on the roof of my vehicle. Just hid them or took them home when it was dark and didn't tell anyone!

Never seen the stars, that's unbelievable. I am so thankful I live in this country.

You must be a strong bugger Tussock, I find it hard enough to get a deer in the back of my landcruiser let alone on the roof!

I used to use a tarp in the back but its all covered in blood back there anyway now.

It is easy VC. You just have to think cunning and dig this big arsed hole to drive the cruiser into and then just drag the bugger onto the roof and drive out. Sorted!
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

I don't post photos of me when dead animals on facebook or something like that where non-hunters will see it. I think often when non-hunters see a photo like that they don't understand the respect we have for the quarry, and just think we are cocks who take pride in killing for the sake of killing and like showing it off (though I'm sure some hunters are like that). A scrubby head for me would be a trophy and I would be proud of it but I wouldn't tie it to my car and parade it through the street because that would give even hunters the wrong idea.
