Thread: Light River Fiordland 2023

Lucky enough to be drawn a ballot for light river first period
has any fellow hunters been and got any advice have gone over maps lay of the land ect

I've never been but there is a cupple of videos on youtube

So me and a buddy are in Light River, 2nd Period. I have no idea if there are others in that block as its a very out the way block with a hefty price tag to get in.

I have been there. we had the coastal area of the block. it is mostly reds in the coastal part , but big fiordland animals and plenty of them. bring an inflateable to get around if you are in the coastal part. the sound is very shallow and very tidal with big sand banks popping up at low tide. need an outboard as strong current. if you go to the lower end of the block then pm me and i can show you some camp spots and the better areas i found.
