Make the Most of it when your Young

Was watching a Youtube clip last night with a couple of fellas Hunting in Fiordland, it was fantastic scenery and hunting footage, and I thought to myself, to there is no way I could lug a big pack around like that anymore.
I have done my fair share but now in my mid-fifties with a very bad back I have to be very selective on what I do.
Just a wee word of advice for the younger ones on here, get out there amongst it while your young and fit, and be sensible with your loads you only have 1 back so look after it.

In youth we have health but not enough time and money, when we're older we have time and money buy not the health

I haven't been to NZ in a decade because of time and money. Really hoping to finally get over next year for that chamois buck I've dreamed of since a kid.

I don't recommend getting older either! As for backs, for some reason, we men seem to think that we can deadlift half our bodyweight without proper technique or time in a gym. It's going to cause problems down the line.

    Amen to that advice!
Getting old is not for the faint hearted - but the option to getting old ain’t that attractive!

Oh where oh where did my youthful strength and stamina go?
At 70 years of age I was expecting more.
