Maybe it’s not the Tahr that need culling

Always amazed by how weak minded and lazy some humans are.
Rubbish left in Southern Ruahines. The black cider cans were fresh as from last weekend left on top of an easy slip no more than hour and half from truck and the rest was even closer to the truck. I would hate to imagine this persons hunting/life ethics with such a lazy attitude.
I’m sure there’s every chance your a follower of this forum, so do us all a favour and leave the hills to those who are passionate and appreciate it and also please don’t breed as the last thing my kids need is to clean up after your future offspring.
My 12 year old was absolutely disgusted and we obviously carried it out for you along with his hard earned venison he took for the week.
    You know who you are.

The amount of crap I see in the Bush is unbelievable at times. Its just pure lazy too. I once watched a woman walking up the rimutaka rail trail popping boiled sweets and just dropping the wrappers as she went. Once bumped into some pig hunters who where just slinging glass V bottles into the Bush as I popped round the corner. I've found batteries, unopened tins of tuna, numerous beer cans and bottles. A watering can (!). I once saw a whole bag if old toys and crap dumped about 300 metres up a service road that's generally blocked. Unbelievable.

Yeah going to a nice pristine place and leaving your spoils so it not so great for the next person? I just don’t get it?? I usually bring a bit of other muppets shit back out like beer cans, plastic & wrappers.

Leave the piss at home ffs. If your going hunting go hunting. You want to get on it - go to the pub. What happened to leaving only footprints ( and gutbags) ?

Nothing wrong with having a couple beers around camp at the end of the day, so long as it's at the end of the day & not while one is still using a firearm. If I'm hunting with my brother or a buddy I'll sometimes take in a couple beers each to have after a long day. Just a couple though. I'd always take cans though as they squish down small & weigh bugger all once empty.

I always take a spare dry bag with me for rubbish. Keeps everything contained and prevents dribbles from food waste etc getting through the rest of your gear, which is liable to happen with plastic bags. Wash it out at home afterwards and it's ready to go again for the next trip.

I can't even think of the last trip, fishing or hunting, where I came home without a bunch of someone else's rubbish. Fly fished the Wainui River yesterday evening with my brother and was disgusted by how much rubbish was around. Came out with my vest full of plastic. Next time I'm over there I'll be taking a rubbish bag with me to collect as I go.

Unfortunately this behaviour is becoming common place. Well done for taking out their trash and hopefully the culprit feels a bit guilty reading this but I'm picking they don't give a shit! Well done to your young fella.
