    Molesworth 1080 in May

Heard a rumour today from a colleague who was in the Molesworth over the weekend on a roar block that the area is going to be carpet bombed with 1080 in May.

Link here on Ospri's website confirms this as going to be the Tarndale and Bush gully areas.

Oh and they did see plenty of animals that would be good in a couple of years but I doubt they will survive now, I don't know which block my colleague went to.

Rumor is that Molesworth is going to go from farming priority to conservation first. Doc have apparently said there will be a different approach to animal control. So better get in quick as it's likely there will be an increase of 1080, heli shooting of geese and areas closed off to the public in their attempt to preserve it for us although we won't be allowed to access it other than a fixed route and stop off points for observation.

Ospri is not DOC/Sage, this is a anti TB drop

They will be using a new generation Deer repellent for the whole drop & monitoring collared deer
