With current tools extermination isn't an option, but the end result from there relentless Search and Destroy will make it very hard for hunters to justify spending big money to go on hunts for low rewards.
What really hacks me off is the way these people with power can decide that these extreme measures are carried out without sound evidence there is a problem out there.
I can't help but think of what our children and grand kids are going to miss out on if this killing continues.
    Vote the pricks out.

Big ups to Poronui Station......actually doing something about this.

Affronted by DoC’s response to the court judgement, so have told them ‘you can go the other way......no access thru our place’.

Great stuff, imo.....just like raising kids and dogs.....actions have consequences.

There was no proper consultation and the lies coming from these extremist greenies are obscene.

The media are fueling the propaganda to sell it to the city folk whom are believing all the lies.
So why don't we use the methods these lot use. Get some video footage of these culls underway. Highlight injured/maimed animals lying on the ground. Show what 10 000 carcasses dumped in the country side looks like and ask what would happen if a farmer did it.

I have seen some footage of these culls and I'm pretty sure if the animal loving lot saw what really went on there would be outrage. Do it the same way this lot do it, with emotive BS and hype. Get some comment from farmers on what would happen to them if they treated their animals this way then dumped them in streams and waterways. What would happen to them if they shot an animal and left it injured to fend for itself. Start employing the tactics the woke lefties use and turn public opinion against DOC. People are already outraged by 1080, capitalise on that.

Some of you must have some pretty good photos of these "majestic stately" animals in a stately pose on a rock outcrop and then some of one that has been shot or wounded. Make them cute and majestic, the public will then be angered that we are doing this to animals. At the end of the day most are animal lovers and would be horrified if the truth was in front of them. The way the Greens are at the moment with Bishop Shaws fiasco it wouldn't take much to turn voters against Sage and her cronies.

Run some video on facebook and get it in the news bulletins.

This has been done in the past. The governments grease monkeys then vilify hunters and protesters by media tripe labelling them as radicals, conspiracy theorists et al in order to destroy credibility. Very good evidence embarrassing to government is either ignored or sufers obfuscation by Ministers or govt' related departments and NGO's. At the same time goverment manipulates the PC patsies into innefective murmers, nicely compliant.
Actually the National Parks act needs modification to accommodate game animals, birds and fish in order to stop this rot.

Of course they will do that just like anyone else does to them. The key is the imagery and stirring the emotive side. Look at the images the lefties use and how it tugs at heart strings.
You can't beat them by moaning on forums, you have to join them in their tactics. Trust me when I tell people the truth of these culls they are horrified that we are allowed to do that to animals. Hype it up like they do, it only has to be loosely based on truth and mostly based on emotion.

Public opinion could be turned against Woods and her cronies as they are on thin ice with many people who aren't their hard core supporters. With the debacle that Bishop Shaw has going the tide of opinion is against them and it wouldn't take much of a shift in attitudes with some well placed propaganda.

No. I firmly believe that exposing irrefutable fact and truth is the only way to go.

IMO it'd be nice if that was the case, but it appears that's simply not how things work. 'Spin' is a huge part of our world now, and pretty much at its worst in public/political organisations. Being noble might make us feel good about ourselves, but I'm afraid it just ain't gonna work.

They have the media in their pockets so just one false claim by hunters will bring down a rain of " not credible- don't listen to radical conspiracy theorist selfish rabid hunters".
In saying that, the various hunting programs particularly on maori tv are good for our cause.

When has that ever worked for anyone, it sure as hell hasn't worked for the Thar foundation. The woke lefties don't use that method and they seem to make headway in their causes. Those running on truth and fact get nowhere.

A whole article by DoC making their distorted case, even down to the threat to insects because of Tahr grazing- on google news this morning. The usual misleading sop about leaving bulls outside the parks etc. No mention of dlaughtering the breeding nannies though.

They would be attacked with ‘false facts’, skewed figures and emotive imagery...

It doesn't have to be a false claim. I'm sure not all animals receive a clean kill during these operations so even if one animal is found like that it will be enough. I'm certain though there will be many many animals who are left injured and maimed. All claims only need to be loosely based on some truth. You would just need to show one animal and that will stir emotions, show 100 animals injured there will be outrage. Show starving juveniles who are orphaned. If you say animals are injured you only need to show two or three that are but imply it's many more.

Look at the Maui dolphin lot, they only have to show one dead maui dolphin and it gets people going. Make Thar majestic and cute, furry and loveable and you will get a result.

As I said doing the moral high ground way has not ever worked for anything, it's time to change tactics and use their own tactics against them.

I know many who aren't hunters and they have absolutely no idea what this cull is about or how it's being conducted. Most don't even know what Thar is and what they are about. This whole thing is totally off the radar for the general non shooting public and is happening out of sight and out of mind. They just need to be "enlightened" and when they are they are horrified this is happening.

Lobby the SPCA over animal welfare. Call them hypocrites if they are ok with this as they are meant to stand up for the welfare of all animals. Again stir their emotions.

Lobbying DOC and Forest and Bird is getting us absolutely nowhere and is putting things backwards as the mighty PR machine of DOC runs an emotive campaign while we don't.

Don't tell porkies but you can enhance the truth. Remember every good lie needs to be based in some sort of truth.

So you can see how they roll, they distort their case and make outrageous claims. We could base our claims in pretty solid truth. Like I said some video of these culls underway and the the aftermath would be all it takes. Look at what some imagery of cows in a paddock does to people no matter what the reality of those cows is. .

Ive said same thing about the green rain.......get a whole variety of animals and film what happens to them when they eat pellets and poisoned carcasses and put the footage out in public places.....let the truth of how cruelly it kills out into open

the powers that be cannot do anything about it.
