Things that I carry that have been used in the last many years:

    Panadol
    Band aids.
Some burn cream I picked up somewhere. Good for insect bites and sunburn as well. It's old now. Not sure whats in it. Probably eucalyptus oil and cocaine.

And thats it. I carry a proper bandage as well in case I have a slip with a knife, but have not used one yet.

I use to carry much more as a young man, but it was bulky and never got used. I think you have to accept certain risks are higher. I dont prepare for a gunshot wound. I dont think there is much point. I have seen a lot of them. Best to not get shot.

I do prepare for hyperthermia, which is the greatest risk in what we do. I do that by dressing properly.

I always carry a bit of electrical tape, but also take a wee bit of strapping tape as well, great for any blisters wrenched knees etc.
I like to keep it simple like Nathan said, but I also throw in a few antihistamine tablets and some steri strips especially if the kids are tagging along.
If anything serious happens I have the plb

Thats the one. All that stuff lives in my hunting bum bag with the PLB . I figured if I suffer a gunshot wound Id bleed out anyway and if anything is broken its the plb for a chopper ride home. Anything worse than that and im not going to be around to care

really agree with glad wrap neatly cut down roll to fit neatly in pouch or whatever you are carrying it in- worst accident I have ever dealt with was axe cut -glad wrap did the trick on patient- I always have a new lighter and small piece candle - antifungal I carry fucidine fixes rashes quickly - feet crutch etc- at least one good bandage - not a lot else except for a small selection of elastoplaste -and some decent pain killers
