mora is pretty good. normally i use a fixed blade buck "zipper"
@Lucky see if you can get somone to show you how to sharpen, then learn to sharpen on that bahco, then buy a good knife.
You may just not be hitting it for long enough, takes quite a long time on a scanfi grind as there is a lot of material to remove.
How much are the Bahco's? I'm sure I didn't pay much for my Mora I have one of these https://www.knifeshopaustralia.com.a...nife-wide-stif not at all fancy but it's a great knife.
Bahco's can be had for as little as $10 or $12.00 each
Von Guff makes very nice knives right here in NZ, he makes everything including the sheath, he's a hunter and his hunting patterns are superb. If you mention you are still learning to sharpen he'll do an edge that is easy to maintain. Best of all you can have a great yarn to him about custom Mausers, he's built a few . . . . Arrr - so thats where it is. Nice to see it is in good hands!
Sold it a couple years ago to a good bugger on here
I use these rat tang blades and fashion handles from some Totara I have here. They aren't flash by any means though are functional and easy to keep sharp with Scandi grind. The one in centre is a bahco blade
