FFS this really dissapoints me. You can see where the powers that be are coming from when they push for arms reforms when there's people out there that are improper people to be owning firearms, paint it anyway you like but the person that has shot another person was not a fit and proper person, they obviously had zero impulse control which is a dangerous type to be using a firearm, obviously also had no regard for the law as they have broken one if not more of the seven rules. Let them rot and leave us responsible firearms owners alone.
There is nothing "obvious" until you know all the facts. Couple of years ago someone was shot by a very senior NZDA member, MSC instructor etc. Right up until the moment he pulled the trigger, he was probably considered completely "fit and propper"...
