    Don't mind if I do.
    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

    Well done on the first deer mate, good on ya!

    FYI:

    When you knock over your next deer, these pics should show you the basics of what VC described. Key is to cut down the shin, doing a longer cut for a small deer or a smaller cut for a stag. The length of the cut determines the size of the ''straps'' and if you go too big on the likes of a stag it will hang to low and not carry very well.





    You can even put your day bag on the deer, like this

    Don't over cook it! And almost as bad is overcrowding the pan or plate.
