Funny there have been comments on how well behaved the Duleys dogs are. Didn't anyone see the beginning of the show? One of them eat holes in Emils Rab rain jacket and chewed up his pack! Not sure if these people would have the same opinion of the dogs if they were sharing a hut and that happened to their gear.

Bored dog crammed into back of ute during long drive vs tired dog that’s just humped it’s way into the back country and is keen on a sleep. Time to let the dog thing go I reckon lol.

Haha. I don't actually have a "dog thing" and I am not a dog psychologist so can't tell you why Gunna chewed Emils stuff. Neither am I passing judgement on the Duleys for having their dogs in the huts. I am simply pointing out what others seem to want to ignore because of their love of dogs.
I love dogs too and personally don't have an issue with sharing a (uncrowded) hut with "well behaved" dogs. But as I said before, not everyone that uses DoC huts likes dogs and not all dogs are well behaved so there has to be some form of regulation. That comes in the form of "No dogs in DoC huts". It applies to everyone.
If I took my dog into a DoC hut and there was no one else there I would have it inside the hut ( I would break the rules) and make sure when I left there was no sign it had ever been there. If there were others there and they had no objection to my dog being in the hut then, again I would have it in the hut. If there was the slightest concern then it would be outside. I would respect the rights of the other users. The rule is there simply to give other users the right to say "No, I would rather not share the hut with your dog."
Emil will probably make sure it is Gregs pack next to the dogs on future trips

    I completely agree.

No-one else there = dog in hut and make sure it’s looked after and left clean and tidy.
Sharing hut and they are ok with dog in hut = same as above.
Sharing hut and they are not keen or the hut is too full = respect others wishes and rights and put dog outside.

I have done all of the above at different times based on each situation.

Boomfa, I reckon everyone could concur with that so no real disagreement

PS: Hanging out for the next episode!

He's had to carry the meat out so pack is well tainted and deserves a good chewing, have lost the wooden handle off a knife left lying about before today due to blood taint.

@Danny Good on you for sharing some quality Dad Bonding time & l bet this type of thing is why the guys put so much effort in to the program.
@bumblefoot Yeh a lot of people do not get the work behind the scenes to put these types of things out with a limited crew,l am a member of a Social Motorcycle Club ,that before Covid would do a extended Motorcycle Expedition around the World ,usually into some countries remote & off the tourist tracks regions every couple of years ie Simpson Desert , Baja,Laos, South America ,Cambodia etc , etc .For around 12 yrs one of the members & his mate who had a Motorcycle Vlog thing would tag along & film, they just filmed it all themselves, just with Go Pro's & small hand helds & as well as all the setting up shots to catch the right Views/light ,re-shoot because rain, dirt on lens or out of focus etc, etc ,they then both spent on average a week sitting on computers editing ,doing sound etc . A huge effort & when it is all weighed up for very little monetary reward & then a couple of years back you tube dropped the channel because there was too much swearing in a couple of years old episodes & a Vlog 8 yrs before showed some of the blokes running nude to jump into a remote beach in Mexico, they had no real come back & in the end deleted about 10yrs off footage.

Good show tonight. I find it quite refreshing a hunting show where they're not decked out in Camo head to toe. Great shot on that Cham!

I'm worried about the cooking section. I made the pulled venison from the first episode and had it in sandwiches while watching the latest episode. Now they have me wishing I had made a Korma....Bugger it, now I have to go find some more venison......

Those recipes sound really good, and the first one is really good. Just a shame that when I watch it at half past stupid o clock in the morning as you can see by the time stamp on this post.... (I'm a shift worker) I end up salivating and a hankering to cook when I should be brushing my teeth and heading to bed....

Keep it up. I look forward to trying more recipes...

Yes another good show, the no breakfast till lunch time bit would be no good for me though. And the new rifle in 300 wm , that surprised me too.
