Did you see any wild natives @GregD?

I think it's a testament to the show that it's great to watch even if nothing is shot. I usually watch with my 85-year old mother (I stay a few nights a week to help her out) and she really likes the programme. Even she had a giggle at the Kaimanawa episode with the "problem" of the trout being too big....

She said to me one night "They are very patient, that's why they get those big deer!" I think it was during the episode last season where you shot the big red after waiting for about a day and a half for it to reappear. What she (and I) noticed was the other couple of hunters that happened to be in the same gully left after an hour or so. You waited and shot it just on dark a day later....

The programme is a must watch for me; and I can really understand how people say it's the first hunting programme that hunter's wives and partners are also enjoying too...

I winced last night when you said "and ONLY 12-kms for the last leg"......

Its become my "early to bed night". Propped up with pillows, relaxed and watching hunting on TV. Luxury.

Last night was great. Bitter sweet. I will never go back there but wonderful memories were triggered. It made me wish I had been more adventurous when I was there. You are a great leader Greg.

The whole family and friends thing is what makes the program for me. Absolute credit to you all!

Yes. The Duley family and associates deserve a lot of credit for this program series. It is simply brilliant in all respects.

Yep - I have recorded all the series, and go back and watch some now and again. I record my own hunts (deer and ducks) on a little HD recorder, and I know how damned hard it is to get decent footage. You guys are awesome at it.
I particularly like the fact that hunting is being shown on TV as an acceptable healthy outdoor pursuit without any excuses for the taking of an animal. I also like the fact that you show the odd missed shot to make us mere mortals feel OK. Non hunters talk to me about the show, and that can only be a good thing for the preservation of our sport. Thanks to Sam the camera man (oh and the Duley's).

Totally agree with the above comments it's a great show, I think a big part of the enjoyment for me is its always spots that are available to all of us if we are willing to do the work, free access doc land and with a ethic of growing the herds not just shooting every thing, I would much rather watch a show about a trip on public land looking at animals and assessing them rather than just heading out the back on a quad, on some mates farm or on some big station you pay a grand to get on and shooting 2 hinds and a velvet stag. Thos big trophys and the patience it takes to get them is awesome, keep up the good work guys.

+1 For those comments just as well we did those adventures when we did as time flies and blowflies and I wont be back in those kind of places again, but still out there and doing what I can and loving it
