Im looking at joining up I was a member around 18 years ago & had fun but I think this time mostly for the public liability insurance some private land owners wont give me access unless i have it , I got a e mail from our local branch yesterday seemly you need to attend 4 meetings before you can hand in your form & have a proposer & a seconder..so basically takes 4 months before you can officially join is that standard or do clubs make up there own rules ? the local pistol club have a cool range better then the nzda one by a long shot , wonder if they have liability insurance mite look into that.
I think it's a local thing. When I went along to the Te Awamutu branch, a couple of guys there offered to propose and second me on the spot.
That's a good idea but for some reason none of the membership forms can be downloaded not sure if its my computer or what.
Go to the local branch web site and it will work there. K
Tried that its just a big page of gobbledygook
Yeah, this is a branch by branch rule. We sort of do the same thing at ours but dont get too enforcing about it. End of the day the association needs as many members as poss and should not be off putting.
HUNTS program is a great thing for those newer members less skilled and the PL insurance is a must, I recon.
With NO Disrespect meant to NZDA but I wonder if this forum could sores insurance?
