I just re read my post. I know I typed Tuhoe so how the hell did Puhoi get there? What is the process Barefoot? I used to get the DoC permits through their website.

I figured you were just having wistful thoughts of windy days and far gongs.
There were 20 goats walking through there today

Got a permit a few months ago when I went with Mohawk660.

Hang on a minute mate, I was in the Whirinaki forest, just got a D O C permit on line, and the Urewera forest is run by the Tuhoe guys. So permits no problem.

Thanks for that. What area does Minginui and Okahu fall under? As to the goats I haven't seen them although Sam told me he had seen some there. I would be happy to end their days if I see them. Maybe a good test for the .270 that we need to take for a play.

Ok Rushy , Minginui and Okahu are in the Whirinaki forest, and the online D O C permits don`t say Whirinaki, I just got one for the central north Island area, it was for Whakatane, Waioeka, and Urutawa?, so I probably did not have a permit for where I was. I got it online and printed it out. Did the 1080 drop go on in the Pureora?, last time in I saw some goats so was thinking a good chance for my muzzle loader and Sharps , so hope some have survived. Love a nice goat curry, jugged rabbit, venison hotpot. So two spots to look at. Homebrew.357.
