About 800 pounds, but I share the meat with others unable to hunt anymore, trade for red salmon fillets and strips, and make my favorite--moose spaghetti sauce--just plain divine. All but the first pic and the wagon w/meat & antlers photo I shot, dressed, carried, and butched alone. My wife comes up from Fairbanks to help, but she's smarter than me--clairvoyant too--she leaves the day before I shoot one. The last two years that's what happened, but next year I think I have a partner. He's 12 years younger than me and rarin' to go; been mighty helpful with the firewood and camp set-up. That's Brad in the first pic. Here's some more pics. I sure like this forum--how about some pics of those sambar and red deer?Name: Brad co-erector moose camp 9-6-10 b.jpg

Body is down right dodgy to be honest, but I still like getting out there doing stuff.
I've got a PLB I can loan to ya if you feel the need, sooner have it being used by friends and forum boys than sitting at home. It can be a bit much to fork out for one, 'specially with xmas coming up

Those pictures are brilliant. Would love to try the Moose spaghetti.

Personal locator beacon? A small device you carry and when you get in the shit hit the button and wait for the chopper, I think.

There's a sweet new program on TV1 I think that I've watched a couple times now, choppers responding to PLBs

That's the one I really liked the bit the other week where the man had died while falling down an ice slip and the rescuer kept talking to him, telling him what was happening, how far they were to landing etc. Such a top bloke. Really makes you proud of our rescue teams out there, good on him. Thoughts go out to that family, I bet they were happy to see how their son/mate was treated though.

That's not old Hunter308. At 39 I was ripping the skin off milk puddings at least once a week.
