    I have a
    Ocean Signal RescueME PLB1
They are very light and small. goes on bush walks, hunts and sailing with me.
I was given some very good advice by a professional hunting guide last year re PLB's.
I tended to keep my PLB in my pack. He pointed out what happens when you drop your pack and move away for whatever reason and bust a leg.
He suggested I keep it in a chest or arm pocket which I do now.

They are extremely good bang for buck with the 10 year battery life. I also liked that it was able to float on it's own unlike the RescueMe, and important feature for on a kayak.

There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!

Couldn't agree more - i keep mine on my belt in a second and very sturdy army ammo pouch. PLB, rope, tyre tube and and head torch live in that pouch and it is permanently attached to the belt.
