That's not saying some greedy bugger wouldn't offer a trophy stag to a client if seen while out and about.
I wouldn't as I would save it for myself or a mate. Hasn't worked yet considering how many I have seen but Ha Ha
Dunne is trying to stop HH of thar and chams. Waro is wild animal recovery ops and these days apart from a rare order, doesn't involve thar or chams.
HH opposed to waro does make more money than venison for hours flown and logistics required, yet it is seasonal and harder flying, where venison isn't to such a degree.
I still think AATH should continue in some well managed form even though it repulses me.
If it doesn't, those animals will suffer far worse than what some fat yank or euro can ever do to them.

Hazing is a thing of the past by law and tbh it is way easier on everyone to have the client shoot from the machine.
Most blokes I know prefer it that way.

Meh I'll believe it when I see it. Hard to 'manage' something with 'regulations' when most of the guys doing it are crooks anyway.
I'm drawn to the mountains and the bush, it's where life is clear, where the world makes the most sense.

You should, cause they are doing waro illegally in places and doc knows about it well and truly. That on it's own is fucked.
The reason to do the illegal runs? Easy deer, short runs (bigger profit) the ones that if you load a pack up you can be into in 3-8 hours, whereas the machine takes about three minutes from the hanger.

I don't quite understand why Peter Dunne is only concerned with the trophy aspect of heli-hunting.

Good to see that a few on here have read about heli hunting etc, HELICOPTERS, WELL HOW LONG HAVE THEY BEEN HUNTING,still deer etc, and lots of them,to get to the point doc want them all gone, helicopters to,lock the place up,thats after the 1080 has killed all your hunting areas out,but on the other hand when all the helicopters have gone doc be getting no $$$ from them so ground hunters will be paying, as of now helicopters ops pay doc shit loads of $$ to work on there so called land, doc are right now looking at user pays on there land for hunting, will you pay them $5,20, 80, thousand a year like the heli boys do,

Yep there is still deer around, thanks to the chopper boys that got busted doing the dodgy from the 1080 block and the poor things got a chance to recover.
Even though they are still at times lying about where the deer come from......

That is criminal. The DoC buggers that ordered the drop should be prosecuted for killing a protected bird.

That's just the start of the native birds they have killed with 1080 Rushy.
