    I see this getting very political over the next few years with long term intention of getting some kind of tax/fee from hunters to hunt public land.

    Did you see the story about looking ways to get more income from the DOC estate.
    Charging for Parking, Charging a % of profits on mining, increasing hut fees, access charges etc.
    Some I agree with some I have concerns about.

    But I do agree with Hunters getting more voice around the table to improve access and recognize the positive things we do,
    So I think the ACT guy needs as much support as possible, the more suport the stronger his position to push this through.
    Can't imagine Twig and Tweet being keen on having hunters at the table so we need to force this to happen.

    They would have to change legislation to charge the public to access public lands. That goes for hunters on public lands too. And to do that, they would have to recognise the animals as a resource...which I can't see happening any time soon. Despite it being quite obvious.
