    Campgrounds and huts beaker. Big one I think looks like piropiro this is only part of the picture as rangitoto range iand around benneydales going to get hit too by Ospiri as well. Only bit left is the northern end that got smashed twice last year due to high rainfall after first application. Ngaroma got hit pretty hard too last year. Getting harder to find 1080 free applied land to hunt these days

    The deer I've seen and shot over spring - summer in the Pureora north block weren't in top condition and there was no shortage of tucker.

    There could be a challenge with the deer that we don't know about possibly. You're observing it more than I ever will.

    that bit right in the middle has the kete trig point at the top. if you look on wams it also comes up as not DOC land ....maori land maybe? dont know

    Can anyone give me an idea if Ketemaringi Track area would be 1080'd? Considering going in this weekend

    it is on the agenda.....whether its been done yet i dont know the weather could have put the poo poo on it till later call DOC...i would go anyway, always a good time to hone those stalking skills and see how close you can get

    Went in there for 3 days a few months back with a mate, setup with GPS, compass & map. Agreed it is easy to get bushed if not careful.

    weathers looking good for you , fly camping? had some trail cams set up off the southern end of the kete showing good numbers (in summer tho)was down there earlier this year and spooked i big hind not far from the flats so they are there but very wary

    1080 drop began last Friday in this area, didn't go in. Lucky I checked.
