I spend a bit of time trolling Google Earth. Its certainly worked in the past, here's one that shows the sort of areas I look for:
Plenty of cover(bush)
Plenty of feed (clearing)
Access to the tops
A few wet areas for water
This place has a good population of pigs and deer. Saw 8 deer here on the weekend.
Stug, I just see a semi-camouflaged black lab... pls point out the deerzies

Strolling past this spot at 2 in the avo. Glanced down and counted no less than 17 deer grazing on it.
This is the back of my farm 5 deer 1 pig.
Velocity is thrilling, but diameter does the real killing.
Stink spots oi!
My spots tend to be over run with Suple Jack
john m, good to see ye olde .303 out and about
Close-up of Neckshots spot (top right) with a yearling out. The small grassy faces on these slips are often grazed during the day.
