Thread: Rangataua advice

Hi, just looking for some general advice about Rangataua area in search of reds. There seems to be a few clearings around there and a decent access road. Anyone have any experience or advice for a dreamer looking to get his first deer with a bow?

Clearings used to get a hiding (dont know if thats changed) but might be worth a look. My suggestion would be climb higher and flycamp out. Ive had good success within 100-200 m of the upper bush edge. Alternatively go in to mangaehuehu from the turoa road and hunt down into it, that was what I did more often than not.
