I have no trouble getting regular readings out to 900m on the hill across the harbour from me and it will range out to 1000 so at 600 Is a walk in the park. I always planned to try it beside puffins Leica but haven’t had a chance yet. I have lent it to my boss and he’s planning to buy one. Im happy to let you have a play @H.M but you’re a little far away.

re range, I tried across a gully with my 1000m SNDWAY onto tussock, scrub & bush and it consistently read in 800-900m range.
Once it got into the 900-1000m it took longer and sometimes failed to return a distance. I call that a very good pass as once the animal is out past 400m its definitely walk closer time for me!

We had a Leica there and it was reading within 10-20m of the SNDWAY in the 800-1000m range so not concerns about accuracy.

Great! I'm on my second. Killed the first. Entirely my fault. It got soaked and I put it too close to a heat pump to dry it out. Glue melted and it fell apart.
