Reviewing opportunity for GAC Better Hunting platform - new and experienced hunters

Hey everyone - I work for the NZ Game Animal Council and for the last 18 months or so I have been building 'Better Hunting', our free online nz hunter safety and education platform. It's built to fill a gap that exists for new hunters between completing the Firearm Safety Course and going on practical training like NZDA HUNTS. eLearning is my profession and I am a new hunter myself so it's been a useful perspective, and I've had supportive seasoned hunters helping the build and answering my stupid questions. We're pretty happy with it and getting ready to launch it, and we need more eyes on it to spot any muckups and unanswered new hunter questions we've missed.

There's so much experience on this forum - and plenty of new hunters too. If any of you can spare a bit of time to kick the tires on this thing and let us know your thoughts from either perspective, please offer. There are no wrong answers - anything that doesn't make sense is actually really important to know, because it won't just be you!

I'm really keen for the community to be involved and have a say in Better Hunting and let us know what stuff you want. I've linked this forum a bit on the platform as this is such a great knowledge base, and I'd be keen for more connection but I might chase the admins about that down the track. If you offer but aren't selected for this early go, you'll be able to feedback after launch and none of it will be ignored - we've just got to keep numbers low pre-launch. Thanks heaps.

    Here's the spiel:

    ******

Are you a new or aspiring hunter? Or are you an old hand keen to help those less-experienced? If so, we need your help! Better Hunting, our soon-to-be-released free online hunter training platform, is ready for pilot testing by learners and reviewers. We need both new and experienced hunters to help us work out the bugs and generally have a look around.

We want testers who are observant and certain enough to tell us what works or doesn’t. With this kind of testing your struggles are our mistakes and we need to know so we can fix them before the platform is fully released later in the year.

The programme is comprehensive, with about seven hours of training available. We don’t expect all testers to do everything, so whatever time you could spare would be greatly appreciated.
If getting early access to Better Hunting and helping us make it the best resource possible sounds like you, follow the link below, answer the three brief questions and leave your name and email address. We will select a representative sample from those that apply and if you are one of those, we’ll contact you with a link to begin the testing.

We will not share your name, email address or any other information with others and will not use information provided to us for any other purpose than this.

Good stuff man, I saw your advert on instagram and did your survey.
Sounds like it will be a valuable tool for growing our sport.
    Bobba and LarryB like this.
"A peculiar virtue in wildlife ethics is that the hunter ordinarily has no gallery to applaud or disapprove of his conduct. Whatever his acts, they are dictated by his conscience, rather than by a mob of onlookers. It is difficult to exaggerate the importance of this fact " - Aldo Leopold

Thanks guys. The application has closed now, got tonnes of interest. Chuffed to see so many hunters and would-be-hunters keen to lend a hand. The plan is to launch open to public late October and after go-live, feedback options will always be available for ideas, suggestions errors and anything else.
