Unfortunately not all of us have white tail bouncing around in our back yard at 40m like you do on the lil rock at the bottom of NZ

If the 416 makes it out (which means I'm on the coast and made it out too), 350 gr Barnes x point circa 1998 somewhere between 2000-2100 fps.( f/forming loads for the 375H+H cases to 416)

Sorry - misundi stoodi - again

The Stand shooters (notice how I said shooters not hunters) use them in "driven Boar hunts"
They reckon they can hear a Boar up to 1000m coming in - seems a bit far to me
Not great around flowing water or Sea - I find

With the volumn - should you have it high or down as low s you canbut still hear - hope you understand what I meaning

Sorry i was unclear in my post they were still going. I have never hunted with them myself. I was at a farm shooting gongs a week back and could hear birds like they were on my head. I took them off and couldnt hear them at all. They were about 100 off in some pine trees. My thoughts on hunting would be you wouldnt know what direction the sound came from

That's where your own natural senses kick in

Mmmm - may have a point there
Mine (like others I imagine) take noice in front - so I hope you will get some directional control
    Could have a point Gibo
